Perfect 1st Tea set for Toddlers!
This little tea set is perfect for toddler girls. We bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it. Fisher Price recommends it for 6 months - 3 years but as a teacher and a mother I think it is more suitable for 18 months old to 3 years old. It comes with three little cupcakes, which are not teethable to me even though it says so on the package. They are quite hard for fresh new teeth or gums!
This tea set is quite teachable with three modes of play. It plays songs that teaches your child how to use the word "please," and "thank you." It also teaches opposites and shapes. The best part is that the tea pot makes a pouring sound that mimics the pouring of "real tea." Since we have a "real" tea pot at home my daughter instantly recognizes the pouring sound and loves that the best.
Please note this tea set is not meant to be used with liquids but is more for pretend play and imagination. I suggest using this set as a starter and then get your child a larger set when she gets older.

My 2 year old loves to play with this. She plays tea host with everybody including her dad. she doesn't exactly listens and follows the teapot cues but she enjoys the music and sound of pouring liquid.
Cutest Toy EV-ER!
My 1-year-old daughter got this toy as a Christmas gift. She and I both love this tea set. The songs are fun and not annoying or loud, I love the British accent, the 'treats' are three different shapes and have slots on the plate for these shapes which are purfect for her age (she's not able to do the other shape-sorter we have yet), and the sound effects are authentic. My daughter really enjoys playing with this toy which says a lot because I have not found that is the case with most toys for this age group. She will open and close the teapot, put the cup up to her mouth, and hold out the cup for me to pour her some "more, please." So cute!
2-year old granddaughter loves it.
She now plays tea party with her Cabbage Patch doll. It grows with the child - different activities at different levels.
Wonderful little tea set
Love it!!! This has been one of my daughter's favorite toys from 12-18 months old. We love all parts of it and I really think that it has helped her learn open & closed, up & down. Great toy. The Tea bag stopped making sounds after the teapot was banged around a bit.
