What We Think

Educational factor:

The Good: A quiet, fun R/C vehicle that won't leave behind scuffs or messes when used indoors.

The Challenging: May not appeal to older, more R/C-experienced children.

In a Nutshell: A soft and squishy 2-in-1 R/C vehicle that handles well indoors.

Soft and Squishy, Yet Durable and Safe
Your toddler can run this R/C car all over the house without damaging your floors or furniture, thanks to the oversized, cushioned body of the vehicle. An added benefit for parents is that this 2-in-1 car is much quieter than most other radio control vehicles. The Bounce Back Racer also comes with a toddler-friendly remote that is easy to control without mom or dad's help; it has two simple-to-use buttons to get the car racing away at top speed.

Though the vehicle can only move forwards and backwards, it works well for all ages. Toddlers will be able to easily control their first R/C car with the simple buttons, while older children can zoom the racer up to top speed over any obstacles of their choice with no problem.

Great For Beginners or Advanced Racers
We were most impressed that the car can run all over the house and furniture without leaving any scuffs or marks. And since it is quieter than other R/C vehicles we have tested, parents won't have to worry about constant loud noise--unless it's coming from your children having fun. And as a 2-in-1 car, it can flip over and keep moving with no problems, maximizing your child's playtime and speeding possibilities.

Fun for pets, too!
My boxer loves to chase and tear up RC vehicles. First he had a tank, which was the most durable. He finally chewed a track apart so I had to toss it. Then he had a truck, which he slowly chewed apart, starting with the body, then the bumpers, finally the wheels were the last to go. I was worried about him swallowing the pieces of plastic and always had to flip it back over.

I decided on the Bounce Back Racer because it's soft, no extra pieces, and it doesn't matter if he flips it over. I had no problems with the batteries. I installed them and off it went. The range is short, probably 15 feet, but I don't care. It's fast enough that it'll get away from the dog for a few seconds and runs well on carpet. The tires are soft, so he can chew on them (gently) with minimal damage. The only hard plastic is the wheels (not tires), and the battery/motor box. I imagine this will last a while, which is good for the both of us. He picks it up by a front wheel and shakes it with no damage, either. This one makes a right turn in reverse and goes straight forward.

As advertised
This is a great product. My son saw the comercial and from then on wanted "the car that flips over" for christmas. I read reviews that almost convinced me not to get it, but I am glad we got it. It is easy for my son to use. It is very durable. He loves it. It does not flip over as easy as the comericals imply, but it does it enough. What I really like about it is that it rolls over almost anything so my son does not get frustrated when it would otherwise get stuck.

good but expected more

This is a well built toy and easy for my 2 year old grandson to play with and control. However I did expect it to perform better. It doesn't seem to have the power to flip over as stated in the product discription.

Flip car
Is a really good toy , but battery life is low ... will not flip unless new batteries are installed ... lasts like 20 min then will not flip anymore .

Almost everyone loves this toy...
I bought this car for my 21 month old for Christmas. Unfortunately, he is a little scared of it at the moment.
However, my older kids and I have had a blast with it. It flips and runs over things, seems very durable and is still running on the batteries from Christmas, so over a month now. The only con I can think of is it does take a LOT of batteries. I think 6 or 8 AA and then a 9volt too. Other than that, lots of fun for the whole family...except for maybe children under 2. :)
