Rush Hour is the mind-challenging game of pure bumper-to-bumper fun! Four levels of play range from beginner to expert. Measures 9"W x 8"H x 2.5"D.
Editorial Review:
Honk! Honk! It's gridlock and the little red car can't move. The player is a traffic cop in the Rush Hour Traffic Jam Puzzle where the objective is to get the red car off the road. To play, pick one of 40 challenge cards; solutions are printed on the back of each card. Then set up the cars and buses in a specified pattern on the 6-inch-square road grid. Move the vehicles one by one (obey those traffic laws!) until the red car can escape the traffic jam. There are four levels of difficulty. Kids can alternate turns with another player or just "play in traffic" alone. The game from Binary Arts received a national award from Mensa and is used in elementary school math classes. The design includes clear instructions printed on the sturdy box, which can be used both as a playing tray and for storage. The game cards stow away in a drawer in the road grid. This is a 1999 Parents' Choice recommended toy. --Marcie Bovetz

Great little brain teaser
I purchased this game two years ago and I still play it. I've worked through all of the cards now but the expert ones are hard enough that you can redo them again and again without remembering the moves plus there are additional card packs you can purchase. My son wanted to learn how to play so I set up a beginners level game for him and he zoomed through the first few puzzles in the pack so I bought the junior version for him. He was 3 at the time and he's now 4 and back on the adult version, just hit the expert level today. He's incredibly logical and has excellent spatial reasoning skills, no doubt due in large part to his love of Rush Hour. It's a very educational game for kids and great fun for adults.

Rush Hour Game
This is a great toy - for both kids and adults alike. It is stimulating to the brain and is a great solitary activity. I know adults who play this every time they have a spare moment!

Excellent Toy
This is an excellent toy, it makes you think while you're having fun! I keep it in the living room all the time.

a well-designed all-ages game
This game is simple to explain, fun to play for all ages, adaptable to multiple skill levels and designed well -- what more could you ask. Opening the box you'll find a set of plastic cars of varying length, a deck of 40 cards that give layouts for the cars that vary from fairly simple to dastardly. Once you set up the miniatures as depicted, the player's task is to move the cars until a path is cleared for the target car to escape the gridlock. The game is well designed -- it includes a tray to hold the cards and a bag for the cars when not in use; also, a card holder lets you display the current puzzle. Very nicely done!

Highly recommend this game!
My 9 year old son absolutely loves this game! He had played it at school and kept asking for it. The drawer for card storage is ideal and it comes with a bag to store the cars in!
