While many classic toys are now mass-produced using cheaper materials (primarily plastic), this Tonka truck's quality construction is preserved. Although the wheels and frame of this dump truck are made of plastic, it is of a heavy, durable weight and suitable for the muddy or wet territories that this truck is sure to encounter. The dump bed, however, is made of heavy-duty steel--just the way parents will remember this toy. This massive truck measures 18 inches long and is a hulking 11-1/4 inches tall with an enormous dump bed that can haul and dump overwhelming piles of dirt, cedar chips, or toys. Tonka Tough!
Bought this truck for my 2 year old's birthday. He has yet to play outside with it, but he will come spring. My kids sit in the box of it and push eachother around the house! My 6 yr old daughter really enjoys it, almost as much as my son:) Good buy! I would recommend this toy to anyone who has kids, girls or boys!
Great big truck!
My 2 year old boy loves trucks and he spends a lot of time with this. The metal truck bed has rolled edges and pretty safe to play with. Good investment!
Lots of fun, but watch for sharp edges.
We bought this truck for my son for Christmas. He and his friends love it. They love to push each other around in it. That being said, this truck does have sharp edges in the bed that can cut or bruise if the truck tips over.
Excellent Purchase
My grandson loves this truck and plays with it all the time. My daughter had one when she was little, she still has it, so I bought one for my son's little boy for Christmas this year...I'm very glad I did.
Great toy but came with bent dumper
Our 2 year old son loves this dump truck. Every day he wakes up and talks about it. Only problem is that it came with the dumper slightly bent. It still works okay and we didn't notice it until Christmas morning so we didn't return it. But wanted to take the time to mention it to others considering making the purchase. The metal parts of the truck are great--much nicer than plastic--but this is not the metal you remember from the old Tonka trucks. This metal is much thinner and easier to bend.
